I LOVED THIS NOVELLA WITH ALL OF MY HEART. Compared to all the Shadowhunter novellas, I feel this one only comes second to The Peppery Trial. Not to lay the puns on too thick, merely information technology truly was an exquisite reading experience.Anna Lightwood has one of the nearly unique and intriguing storylines I've e'er read in young adult fiction. As a genderqueer lesbian in the late 18 hundreds/early on ninteen hundreds, I loved watching her transformation from a woman who tailors her brothers clothes to her body in secret to someone who recognizes she does not have to be just "one affair" (in her words.) Anna is stiff yet vulnerable and I'chiliad confident she volition become one of my all fourth dimension favorite characters.
Anna and her love interest in this novella are Then ADORABLE. I was intoxicated past their chemistry and despite some obstacles revealed throughout the story, I'm extremely hopeful we see more than of them together in The Final Hours.

Exactly. I merely can't explicate how much I like Anna. I loved how confident she was in what and who she liked, I liked that she was so open and expressive to her cousins and close family unit friends We do not go to encounter much of Anna Lightwood, in Chain of Gilded, or even in other stories but in this story, Cassie made a really good offset at creating Anna'southward Character, her personality, and the potential to further develop her.

Exactly. I just can't explain how much I like Anna. I loved how confident she was in what and who she liked, I liked that she was then open and expressive to her cousins and shut family friends, I just ADORED how she imagined girls and asked them for a dance or had a chat with them. Information technology was then lovely. The way she took her brother's dress and fit them for herself. Just... 💜

Lastly, I wanted to share my love for Cecily and Gabriel equally parents. How nice and caring they were! It was so admirable. Especially in the early 1900s, it was really great how they supported Anna and showed their love and respect for her choices.
Gifting her a beautiful suit along with that (legendary) red necklace! I really didn't like that Ariadne hurt Anna considering she herself was non so confident about herself but I'm so, SOOO GLAD that both Cecily and Gabriel encouraged Anna to be herself and boosted her confidence. I really want to see more of Anna Lightwood

What Cecily says and does for her daughter is beautiful. Cecily wants Anna to be comfy and confident with the person she is. She wants her to exist herself and embrace it. Cecily shows her to exist stiff and to follow her heart regardless of what people says. The way she accepts her and reassures her that love cannot exist wrong .

Christopher is and so sweetness, and an amazing brother to Anna. I would dearest a sis like Anna. The Merry Thieves cameos in this made my day. Matthew! James! I died a picayune inside when Anna noticed the Gracelet, only was slightly revived when Anna went a trivial more into detail about James' deportment. Still more often than not dead, though.
This anthology is so so expert so far. Aleja has introduced my soul to happiness and heartbreak in equal measure.

I Admire this short story. It BREAKS MY Heart, but the catastrophe too gives me hope. Cecily and Gabriel are the BEST parents and I dear them! ❤️

And Anna and Ariadne. Oh my eye. Poor Anna. On the ane mitt, I'grand furious and Ariadne for breaking my precious Anna's heart like that. But on the other hand, my heart aches for Ariadne. I really promise she comes to her senses earlier it's too tardily, considering I know she won't be happy married to Charles. However Anna also deserves better because she is precious and astonishing.
Anna had better get a happy ending and a nice sweet romance in The Last Hours or I volition riot.

I loved the idea backside the story but not the story itself. For some reason I felt very disconnected to this 1 in particular, which I'thou guessing is because it's co-written and the characters don't experience like they normally do when only written past Cassandra Clare.
I do appreciate the representation, I adore Anna and the whole tlh crew and OH MY GOD my children Cecily and Gabriel grew up to be such good parents I'yard proud.
My quick and elementary overall: very enjoyable quick read!
