Dragon Quest XII Targets an "Adult" Audience
To close unsuccessful the Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary livestream nowadays, Square Enix declared a young mainline entry in the long-lengthwise RPG serial publication, Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate.
The game was revealed by a brief cinematic (embedded below) showing the logo being being carved out of barren dry land. A menacing voice and so said the tagline, which, according to the flow's translator, is "What is the purpose of life?"
Done the transcriber, Clothes designer Yuji Horii explained that the tagline refers to the both the gameplay and the communicatory. "It's about having options," he said. "You have to choose your own way of how to take on." He aforesaid that the player's decision can have ramifications all in all bet on.
The development team also seems to beryllium taking some risks, with changes coming to the informed command battle system. However, Horii seemed to imply that the changes to that system remain in the prototyping stage.
Perhaps almost surprising is that the game will have a darker tone than past entries. Horii said, "It's a more than darker depression. It's like Dragon Quest for adults."
Dragon Pursuit Cardinal is currently without a release window operating theater target platforms.
During the stream, the company also announced five other unexampled games, a HD-2D remake of Dragon Quest III; a brand-new byproduct known as Dragon Quest Treasures; a free-to-play, puzzle-settled transferable spin-off called Dragon Quest Keshi Keshi; the next season of Dragon Quest X; and Flying lizard Pursuit X Offline. The last iii will equal available just in Japan.
